  • Entrance Examinations: Qualification in national or institute-specific entrance exams, such as the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) conducted by IIT Bombay, or the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for National Institutes of Design (NIDs).
  • Age Limit: Some institutions may have age restrictions; for example, UCEED specifies that candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, for the general category, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
